A kiss can symbolise love, passion, desire and lust.
A kiss conveys a messasge such as, i love you, i like you, i want you or let's make love!
A kiss melts your heart and it makes you feel weak at the knees.
When you kissed me, a sense of sorrow creeping in.
No love, passion, desire and lust.
It's just a kiss to soothe a lonely heart.
A kiss is just a kiss, it means nothing more...

Maybe you were thinking of "the kiss of death", seems you been reading fatalist novels, or maybe you were kissing a frog and hoping he would turn into your prince. Kerouac always makes me happy when life is a real bummer.
