Something about me

I am a very frank, direct and honest person.

When i am happy, i give a good laugh. When i am sad, i give a good cry. When i am pissed, i give a pissed face. That's just me. A very expressive person. If you look at my face, you'll definitely know my mood unless you are a nerveless person!

I love the chemistry between us and thought things go well. However, you just vanished without trace and i believe that you are ditching me! Come on, what's the problem of being honest? Yes is yes and no is no. I am not a bugger! You are definitely a good piece of evidence! An evidence of bastard!

A good laugh and a good company did dispel my gloominess

We went to Regent Park again which near Baker Street tube station. It is another breaktaking view of this park. I think one of the few things i love about London is the beautiful park located. If you wanna take your minds off the hectic life for a while, there are always parks available for you to seek serenity and tranquility.

MK and i really had a lot of fun posing funny pictures. Did i look happy? Yes...i was. It is such a joy when you laugh loudly leaving all your troubles behind.





We went to Belgo for dinner, a Belgium restaurant, located in Covent Garden.


I want to specifically mention the special deals of this restaurant 'Beat the clock'. Meaning to say, you pay for the price of the food for the time you make the order, ie if you make an order at 5pm, you pay for the dishes you order for 5 pounds and etc. Certainly, there are only few dishes that fall into this special deal. Look at the yummy dishes that we had.

Well...my dish is grilled goat cheese served with roast vegetables in a light tomatoes sauce. It's nice! However, we both prefer the dish that CJ had. It is soooooooooo yummy!

It's so nice to be able to enjoy different types of cuisine and it's gonna be one of our motivations to work hard here!!

Boxing day is shopping day.

Three of us joined one of the biggest shopping events in London. As you can imagine, there were hive of shoppers in Oxford street. We were very frustrated either in the shops or on the street as it was damn crowded!

Oh well..MK and i both wore our newly clothes and boots today. We ever took the pictures in the tube station just to show off. Hehe...Do we look like professional models? No further comment is required. Thank you!

My first rainy Christmas in London

A rainy Christmas day. Three of us celebrated Christmas with our housemates. It's a good experience to mingle with them. Oh yeah, most of our housemates come from Australia. Typical Aussies...

The Christmas lunch consisted of Turkey meat, salad and baked potatoes + carrot! Well..a very typical Western meal but it's nice though!

We were home for the whole day as there were no public transport on Christmas day!

We had our late Christmas dinner at 10pm.

It was lamb chop, broccoli and pan-fried mushroom. I would say our Christmas dinner is much more yummy than the Christmas lunch prepared by our housemates! Hehe...Oh... thanks for MK for preparing such a delicious meal for us.

Dessert was caramel creme bought from Asda. Yummmmmmy!!!

We set up MK at 12am as it's her birthday!!! She was very exhilarated as her dearest Buri gave her a very sweet surprise. You can really see her contentment by looking at the picture. Wow...Gu Gu Fei Yong was so envious! How i wish i was pampered and showered with such an unconditional love.

Long distance relationship is tough, it can be surmounted if two hearts have a deep affinity.

We went to Oriental City as MK was gonna treat us for dinner!! It was a cold and freezing evening. However, we will grit our teeth and bear with the coldness just for the free dinner!!!

Oriental City is a place where you can find authentic Asian food and stuff. It's like a chinatown.

Today is also winter solstice in lunar calendar. The significance of winter solstice for Chinese is the reunion of the fanily members and the commemoration of the deceased. It's also a tradition to eat glutinuous rice balls. Here are the glutinuous rice balls that we bought from Oriental City.

There were two types of rice balls in this bowl, red bean and sesame. It's sooooo delicious!!! I wish we had bought more!!

My thinking and my actions seem to be open minded to you. However, i am still a traditional oriental gal deep down. No matter who you are, what you do and where you are, don't ever forget your roots! It's the origin to prove that where you belong.

Dilemma

I attended a job interview this morning! It's a job recommended from another agent. If i can get this job, life will be much more easier! As my commute to work will be reduced substantially.

The interview went well and i really hope the feedback is positive.

I was kind of exhausted when i reached home. Well...i received a call from my agent again asking me if i have singed the contract. To be frank, i am not ready to sign as the outcome of this morning interview is unknown. The agent was kind of annoying as he kept pushing me to sign the contract by saying nuisance, such as the company needs the contract before Christmas in order to get the procedures done. I was in a dilemma as if the contract is signed, i am legally bound and what if i get the job offer from the interview that i attended? My mind went blank and i was utterly confused. Finally, i made a decision! Not to sign the contract today until the outcome of this morning interview is known! I am gonna ditch the agent today!

Needless to say, the agent kept calling again for several times and i finally answered the phone by telling him that i had posted the contract! Guess what? The agent said it is ok as long as i had the contract posted today! Apparently, he made up the story by telling me all the stupid things!!! Damn it!!

I received a call from the agent who arranged the interview this morning! Actually, i was expecting a positive feedback but it turned out to be negative! I was quite satisfied with my performance. I think it's because of a minor mistake that i made. I was disillusioned as it bursted my bubble of getting a job in central London. Meaning to say, i need to wake up early in the morning, ie 6am, to commute in this bloody weather! Oh my god! I am gonna pass out now! Don't want to think about it now!

Cold weather, freezing temperature, sleepy and miserable Gu Gu Fei Yong. I can imagine how my life is gonna be in the next few months.

ps: MK got her pay today. I look forward to the dinner that she promises to buy us tomorrow! Wow!!!

ps: Special thanks to Wayne who gave me a good of piece of advice when i was in a dilemma. I should buy you a meal when i get my pay.

A laid back afternoon.

I watched Victoria's Secret Show 2007 this afternoon and the show was absolutely spectacular!!! Watching the gorgeous models with revealing lingerie really made my blood boil!!! Oh my god!!! The models are just sooooooooo hot!!!!

Don't get me wrong. Gu Gu Fei Yong is definitely a heterosexual. I just couldn't take my eyes off of beautiful things! Hehe..

It's one of my fancies to buy a Victoria's Secret undergarment. I am so attracted to the sexy little cloth. I think Victoria's Secret is gonna be my best friend soon and i will definitely show your one day!

The retail outlet is a splendid building and the interior design is marvellous! Ah...i wish i had the money to buy the dress, shoes, lingerie in this store! It's just so tempting!! I hardly took my eyes off from the gorgeous dresses and stilettos! :(

The washroom in Harrods is worth mentioning! It's not the interior design that caught my attention but the perfumes displayed. There are more than 7 types of branded perfumes displayed in the bathroom for toilet users who need a touch up. Isn't that cool?

We stepped out from Harrods after half an hours window shopping. I looked at the sky, a posture that Gu Gu Fei Yong loves to do, i saw snow!!!!!! Oh my god!!!! I can't believe that it's snowing!!!!

After being exhilarated for few minutes, we realized that it wasn't snow. It's kind of foam not snow!!! I think it's a gimmick of Harrods in catering for the festive season. Ah...so disappointed. I thought i would witness the first snow in London.

ps: Met a friend, Mark, a London born, Egyptian guy. He is a chatty lad with a bright smile! He definitely put a big smile on my face during our conversation.

I feel extremely unwell. My cough keeps haunting me and i sprained my ribs when i was practising yoga. Whenever i cough and laugh the chest muscles expand the rib cage which cause a sharp pain! The worst part is, i kept coughing today which constantly cause the unbearable pain. Ahhh........................

Steamed chicken and greens + ABC soup

Okie...today's blog is regarding the yummy dishes that i cooked tonight!

The dinner consists of steamed chicken, greens, ABC soup + sauce for the chicken.

For anyone who wonder what ABC soup is, let me enlighten you! The ingredients of the soup are tomotoes, carrot, potatoes and onion. Since the mentioned ingredients are rich of vitamin A, B and C, we call this soup as ABC soup. Hmm..i think it's malaysian kind of saying!

The black sauce as showned in the picture consists of soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, spring onion and garlic. It's a dipping sauce for the steamed chicken.

Are you guys drooling now?? Can't you imagine a pretty and sweet gal like me is a good cook huh? I strongly think that my future husband is gonna be the luckiest guy in the world! My grandmum

I rang my grandmum today as i haven't called her since i came here. We didn't talk much and she asked me to go back to Malaysia. Well...i think she just misses me.

My sister and i were brought up by my grandmum and we are very close to her! She's was very strict to us when we were small kids. Hence, i was a very obedient child compare to others.

Time passes in the blink of an eye. Only nostalgia is left.

MK and i had been craving for cheescake for the past two days and it was today that we put our desire into action.

Three of us, CJ, MK and me, with our ugly, funny pyjamas and sweater, bore with the freezing temperatures, went to Sainsbury just to get some cheesecake and pancake. Sounds crazy huh? Yes it is!! However, this is the only time we can be crazy and wild. Life is that simple, have fun, be wild and enjoy! Why do we need to restrict ourselves just to satisfy others expectations?

A boring yet relaxing Sunday. Staying in my cosy little room with the company of my cousin is truely enjoyable.

Hello Kok Family

Only MK and i stayed in the room as CJ was out since he had a friend coming to London.

It's a wet and gloomy day as rains came again. I was supposed to met a friend but decided not to as i hate going out in a rainy day and also the fact that i was still ill from my cough.

There was a gathering in cousin sister Fong's place in Malaysia. Hence, my uncles and aunties were there for dinner. We had a webcaming session with them as our loving relatives are so keen to know our condition here. My aunties even asked us to go back rather than surffering in London. Hmm..actually, i don't really suffer here and i quite love the life now. Hehe...i think the elders are just being caring.

I feel proud to be born in Kok family. Although our family is neither prestigious nor rich but this family is rich of love, caring, joy and fun! Let me tell you a secret, most of our family members are good drinkers. We are very excited and crazy when we drink! Hehe...If you wanna go after me, you better are a good drinker :)

Proud to be asian, proud to be chinese and proud to be Kok!! Our blood relations bind us, our unity even bond us.
